Digital.Health.Now is where Digital Health startups, entrepreneurs and global tech-companies meet healthcare organizations, government policymakers, investors, and other ecosystem players – to discuss Israel’s and the world’s healthcare challenges.
That’s where AmplioSpeech shined.
Among 1,500 participants, the AmplioSpeech team of superheroes stood out: The distinct blue capes, stating “Speaking Like a Superhero” made the difference. The crowd flocked to our booth to catch some of the innovative spirit AmplioSpeech had brought to the room.
More than 60 health organizations from all over the world attended the conference. AmplioSpeech CEO and Founder, Dr. Yair Shapira, took the main stage and presented – “Speaking of Conservatism” – addressing the fear of change, commonly found in healthcare organizations. With Dr. Shapira, presented Ms. Keren Mahlev. Ms. Mahlev, a speech-language pathologist by profession, is the chief administrator of developmental services at Maccabi Healthcare Services – the second largest HMO in Israel. Together they broke the news to the audience: For the first time in Israel history, Digital Speech-Language Therapy is made possible with AmplioSpeech through HMOs.
Ms. Mahlev presented the immediate impact of the digital service so far – All children received service within 3 weeks of referral as opposed to the long waitlists, often stretching to months and even years.
“AmplioSpeech fulfills the mission of the digital health community,” says Yael Ophir, CEO of HealthIL Community, the organizer of the event. “The company helps children with speech-language challenges, utilizing cutting-edge healthcare technologies, and has successfully and broadly entered the mainstream public health system in Israel.”
