Chapter 1: Why I love working for this company
By Dr. Julie Ray Roberts
A couple of years ago I chose to close my decade long SLP private practice to spend time with my growing family; however, after a while I began to miss working. I decided to investigate opportunities that would allow me to work from home and still be close to my young children. I found a relatively new technology company seeking SLPs – AmplioSpeech – and submitted my resume.
I was blown away with their proprietary technology and child-centered service delivery model. After learning more about the company via an online interview, I was increasingly confident that AmplioSpeech was offering the exact opportunity that I was seeking.
Serving the Cause
Working for AmplioSpeech has added value to my life and excitement for my future.
We currently provide digital speech language therapy services to K-12 schools, both virtual and bricks-and-mortar schools, to students who need speech services for articulation, language, fluency, autism, and other developmental disorders.
Our CEO and founder, Dr. Yair Shapira, is the parent of a child with a fluency disorder, an academic/researcher, and an experienced businessman who understands large scale operations. He advocates for providing what is best for the children via data-driven decision making. When you begin working with AmplioSpeech, it becomes obvious that these beliefs held by our visionary are pervasive throughout the company.
Science. Not Fiction.
The systematic procedures and protocols developed by AmplioSpeech allow SLPs to flourish as clinicians, spending time providing therapy; therefore, more effectively helping children to meet their potential.
In the past five years, AmplioSpeech has developed a proprietary platform using groundbreaking technology. These technological advancements enable SLPs to dramatically increase objectivity and data-based decision making.
This is possible because efficient processes have been developed to decrease SLP entanglement in paperwork and overhead tasks. Through the use of 1:1 therapy, homework assignments and speech buddy practices, AmplioSpeech allows for highly-individualized therapy sessions. This allows the learner to have multiple opportunities to generalize skills through various communicative partners and settings on a weekly basis.
An Empowered SLP
AmplioSpeech has created a culture that values feedback from every one of its team members.
In addition, we are encouraged to communicate with each other to develop solutions and to share the unique skill set we each bring to AmplioSpeech. When you join the team, you are added to our SLP community group where you are connected with everyone who is part of the company. The synergy that results from these team-oriented, community-based relationships is priceless.
AmplioSpeech is dedicated to finding solutions to common problems that have existed in our field for decades. Our goal is to reach millions who need high-quality, data-based speech-language pathology services.
If you are looking to be a part of an organization who values your skills and training as an SLP, look no further! We provide the technology and support SLPs need to feel accomplished, valued and effective because AmplioSpeech believes in SLP job satisfaction.
